GIF Frame Extractor

Split an animated GIF into individual frames.

Out of one moving GIF, out comes a folder of still PNGs you can edit and recompose.

Drop an animated GIF on the program. Out comes a folder containing one PNG per frame, numbered sequentially. Edit any frame, swap any frame out, or rebuild a new animation in another tool.

What it does

Load any animated GIF. The tool reads every frame, including disposal-method and timing metadata, and writes each frame as a separate PNG file. Output files are named frame_001.png, frame_002.png, etc., in the order they appear in the animation.
