Line Replacer

Replace whole lines that contain a keyword.

Not a find-and-replace tool — a find-and-replace-the-whole-line tool.

Plenty of tools find a word and swap it for another word. Line Replacer is different: when it finds your keyword, it replaces the entire line the keyword is on — or deletes it outright.

What it does

Point Line Replacer at a text file. Tell it one or two keywords. Tell it what to replace matching lines with (empty string deletes the line, a space blanks it, any text substitutes that text). Press Start. Every matching line is rewritten in one pass.

How to use it

  1. Enter the path of your input text file.
  2. Enter the search word (or two words, with an AND option that requires both on the same line).
  3. Enter the replacement text. Leave blank to delete matching lines, a single space to blank them.
  4. Press Start. Use Save to write the result back over the input file.
